Mindset – The Basics!

The Basics

Mindset – The Basics!

I’d never fully appreciated how much our thoughts effect every part of our life; career, relationships, finances, health, where we live. Whilst we believe that we are consciously making our decisions, the fact is, a whopping 95% of our thoughts are made by our sub conscious.

Why is this such a bad thing?

The sub conscious is a very useful bit of kit and shouldn’t be underestimated! Our brain receives around 400 billion pieces of information each second, yes, that’s not a typo, second! If we tried to process all that information we’d have a serious meltdown! So our brains filter it down to about 2,000, which in all fairness, is still pretty impressive! How does it filter it? By looking at what we’ve experienced in the past in order to determine what we’ll find ‘useful’.

Merry Christmas!!!

Merry Christmas!!!

Merry Christmas everyone!!! I hope you’re looking forward to it as much as I am!

I’m feeling super grateful for where I am in my life right now, so despite how busy the Christmas period can be I am making a conscious decision (because after all it is my decision!) to not get stressed and be grateful for all the positive things I have in my life!

I plan to laugh a lot, enjoy the company of my awesome friends and family, take some time to reflect on the last year and focus on all the exciting things I have planned in 2016!

I hope you all have an amazing time – do more of what you want and less of what you should!!

Acceptance and Accountability

So we know life’s a journey, we hopefully have a good idea of where we are on that journey (if not check out my recent post ‘Life’s a Journey…’) and where we want to go, or at least where we don’t want to go – which is just as important!

So how do we change? For me, the starting point was with acceptance and accountability.

‘Small Headed’ Peeps…

In my last post I discussed the importance of surrounding yourself with awesome ‘big headed’ people i.e. those who inspire you, get you, your goals and support you on your journey.

Who are the ‘small headed’ peeps?

‘Small headed’ people are those who try to hold you back, put you down, tell you that you can’t achieve your dreams or ask you why you’re even dreaming in the first place! They say things like ‘why would you want to do that?’, ‘you need to get a proper job’, ‘be realistic about your expectations’. They support what they think you ‘should’ be doing, rather than what feels right to you. Keep reading

Totally Awesome Peeps…!!

Totally Awesome Peeps…!!

Saturday was awesome! The morning was spent filming some promotional material for Wilde Performance and the afternoon having food and drinks with some awesome, likeminded and inspirational people who I’m honoured to call friends!

The absolute genius that is Mark Whitehand (anyone who can make me look good on camera has to be a genius!) was in charge of filming both myself and the amazing Tim Neale, an Emotional Mastery Trainer who has helped me to eliminate fears and is a fellow Wilde Performance client. Tim will be writing a guest post in the new year which I’m super excited about!

As for Mark, one’s thing for sure – he seriously knows his stuff! I can’t wait to see the final edit, but for now he has very kindly let me share his vlog from the day – click here to enjoy!
